Our Six Main Areas of Concentration

Dive into the core areas of focus that drive our efforts at Lao Niang TCM, guiding our commitment to providing holistic care and effective solutions for your health and wellness goals.

Suitable site selection

We carefully prefer geographically isolated and pollution-free agricultural land is selected for contract cultivation of medicinal materials.

Surpassing HSA Safety Standards

Beyond heavy metal testing—we rigorously assess pesticides, impurities, and active compounds to ensure our herbs meet the highest safety and potency.

No Preservatives & Sulphur

We use refrigerated storage to minimise deterioration, preserving the freshness and potency of our herbs without preservatives or sulphur fumigation.

Precision impurity filtering

Multiple powerful magnet rods are installed in the filter unit to remove iron impurities, and the use of metal filtration is developed.

Scientific testing

We follow pharmaceutical factory standards and Taiwan safety regulations, and conduct tests to ensure the quality and safety of medicinal materials.

Harvest on time

To ensure the best effect of the medicinal materials, and through farmers' rich experience, we control the optimal harvesting schedule of various medicinal materials.

Traditional Processing Method vs. Authentic Processing Method

Using Scutellaria baicalensis as an example, the “Authentic Method” takes only 1 day to process, while the traditional method typically takes 2–3 days.

The traditional method is time-consuming and involves soaking in water, which causes the key active ingredient, baicalin, to hydrolyse easily. In contrast, the Authentic Method avoids over-processing, preserves more of the active ingredients, and results in a higher baicalin content. (Bar graph shows significantly higher baicalin content in the Authentic Method compared to the Traditional Method.)
